Marketing & Sales Co-ordinator
- How did you get into the industry/your job?
I’ve always worked in sales but directly prior to Boxmart I worked for a well known brand, assisting customers with branding options for corporate gifting and events. This sparked my interest in branding and print.
- What inspired you to get into the packaging industry?
Mostly my previous role. I understood the importance of branded gifting and the customer ‘experience’. I felt I could bring this sales experience to Boxmart.
- What are your favourite elements of your job?
Helping start-up companies which are often one person, at home, starting out in business and need to understand the value packaging can bring to their products. I enjoy guiding them and hearing their joy when they get their final printed gift packaging.
- What are the biggest challenges in your role?
We handle a large number of enquiries and orders, so keeping track of each one means being on the ball every day to focus on the tiny details.
- What’s your favourite project to have worked on?
One that stands out is a lady who needed boxes for her own floristry business, large bespoke transit boxes for her beautiful designs. We worked together to get her to the finish line and she was thrilled!
- What’s your favourite thing about working for BoxMart?
We’re very fortunate to receive a real array of enquiries for all manner of products and we get to speak to people from all industries. When you pick up the phone you never know what someone will need!
- Any interesting hobbies outside of work?
I am a massive film buff. If it’s good, chances are, I’ve seen it!!! I’m also an avid reader, love going out to eat, and spending time with my gorgeous 3-year-old and husband.
- What advice would you give to someone looking to do what you do?
I would say, if you have sales experience, you can learn the print and packaging side of things. If you have the print and packaging side of things, you can learn the sales side. The main thing is, ensuring you have the very best attention to detail – as that is the key to this role!
