BOBST

The Brief –
A worldwide leader in supplying machinery and services to folding carton, corrugated board and flexible packaging manufacturers, BOBST, required a branded welcome pack box for its visitors and customers to the Redditch site. The welcome pack box was a completely new concept for BOBST visitors and had to be able to contain BOBST branded items such as a pen, notepad, USB stick, relevant product literature for which the visitor attended, as well as information on BOBST UK & Ireland. It needed to be a durable design, which could be die-cut using any BOBST die-cutting machine and could be carried around easily while remaining practical and simple to use.

BoxMart’s Role –
BoxMart used its constructional expertise to create a durable die-cut microflute corrugate box with a base, separate fittings, lid and lid liner. The box was designed to be die-cut using a BOBST machine. The practical design features a separate durable lid which can be easily lifted off without any tearing of material, effortlessly revealing what’s inside. The benefit of a die-cut box means the design can incorporate cartons, divisions and fittings. BoxMart’s design for BOBST included separate fittings, which allowed the box to contain and represent the required individual items, such as the BOBST pen, USB stick and product literature, in an organised and aesthetically pleasing way.

Production details –
BoxMart worked closely with BOBST UK & Ireland to find the right material and structure for the box and gained approval from BOBST Switzerland to ensure the design reflected the brand values. Microflute material was selected for the welcome pack box, with the lid and lid liner featuring two colours and the base featuring one flood colour. The fittings were plain and provided a suitable area to contain the relevant BOBST information as well as branded items.

Results -
The welcome pack box has added huge value to the BOBST brand and heightened visitors’ and customers’ experience to the Redditch site. Neil Jones, Managing Director, BOBST UK & Ireland, commented “The welcome pack box has proven a resonating success with our Redditch site visitors and is aesthetically pleasing too. BoxMart’s superb expertise has reinforced the BOBST brand image allowing us to demonstrate first-hand the quality of BOBST products and as a brand, what we are about. We couldn’t be more impressed with the final result.”
