Boxmart Packs in the Awards… Again!
Our long-running winning streak continued last week when we won yet another UK Packaging Award! Bringing our total award haul to 10 trophies in just over a year!
This time, BoxMart fought off stiff competition from some of the UK’s largest packaging companies to win the UK Packaging Award for Corrugated: Retail Ready and Point of Sale. It was a particularly poignant win as we’d won it the previous year so were extremely proud to retain the title!
Last year we’d won the category with an extremely life-like, and much talked about, beer crate for TIGI Hair Care. You may recall how it transformed from an eye-catching sales tool into a fully functioning retail display stand.
This year we upped the ante and submitted the Magic Cube, a unique morphing gift pack we’d created for global beauty retailer LUSH.
The pack, which comprises eight individual cubes with tuck-end lids, starts life as an oversized cube. It then transforms into a large rectangle before splitting in half and morphing back into a cube again! No matter how many times you fold, turn open or close the design, it never stops morphing or protecting an array of beauty items inside each individual cube!
The UK Packaging Award judges were so impressed with our design that one described it as a “technical and aesthetic triumph” whilst another praised us for our outstanding design and construction.
It was also a huge hit for our client LUSH, as it not only became a festive sell-out, but was a firm favourite with their in-store demonstrators and intrigued customers. Its ability to morph again and again, also generated a substantial amount of press coverage, especially from vloggers who demonstrated the unusual folding concept in their unboxing videos.
Whilst the UK Packaging Awards maybe over for another year, our black ties and party dresses are ready and waiting to attend the Starpack Awards in February! We’re hoping the Starpack judges will be equally wowed by our Magic Cube, along with five other ingenious designs we’ve entered into an array of categories.
