New MIS Enhances Customer Service At BoxMart
Bespoke packaging supplier, BoxMart, has implemented a new Management Information System to drive up efficiency across the business and deliver improved customer service.
The company has invested in SAP Business 1 (SAP B1), an Enterprise Resource Planning system which allows BoxMart to automate the management of both its tailored packaging service and online stock gift packaging sales platform.
BoxMart carried out a large analysis project to assess where improvements could be made in the business and considered various systems before choosing SAP B1.
Adrian Eade, IT Manager at BoxMart said: ”BoxMart has enjoyed a strong period of growth and success to the point that we realised that in order to continue to meet customer needs, we had to address areas of the business which were slowing us down.
“Manual processes which had initially served us well were adding complexity where there didn’t need to be any. By implementing a Management Information System, we have been able to automate and co-ordinate multiple areas of the business to create a smoother, more consistent work flow.”
The bespoke quotation through to delivery and invoicing process has been streamlined. A simplified re-ordering process has been developed and warehouse management improved by the new system. Increased stock control and picking functions have led to better delivery accuracy for stock order customers.
The system also provides a real-time overview of workflow and up to date company performance data is readily available, enabling the compilation of reports quickly and accurately. Members of the sales team also have access to Apps that provide visibility of their customers’ projects. The comprehensive view of any order’s status will lead to better overall customer service and enable BoxMart to pre-empt any potential issues.
Other benefits of the system include a reduction in spreadsheet files and a reduction in data and work duplication.
